The Department of Psychology hosts an annual research poster session to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their research to the wider Wesleyan community. Students work collaboratively with faculty mentors through thesis projects, research methods courses, and research tutorials. Research posters display a variety of topics, which reflect the rich diversity of faculty research interests across the neuroscience, psychopathology, cognitive, developmental, cultural, and social subfields of psychology.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the research poster session has been converted to a virtual event, where student presenters can display their research posters and interact live with an audience during the scheduled time slot. The collection of research posters will be made available for public viewing after the event.
The psychology department’s poster session will be held on Friday April 30th, 2021 between 11:00AM and 1:00PM.
During that time student presenters will host their individual zoom sessions and present their posters. Each student’s individual zoom link can be found on their poster site. Use the tabs at the top of this page to browse by student presenter or faculty.
On Friday April 30th between 11:00AM and 1:00PM we encourage you to take a ‘digital walk’ through the posters, where you can visit a student’s zoom session, hear their presentation, and engage with the speaker directly. The idea is that during the ‘Live Virtual Poster Session’ in Zoom, you – the audience members – will visit the student poster sites in the same manner that you would have visited the poster easels during the in-person session.
